St. Ives Jar
Stoneware with white dolomite glaze.
I first made a jar like this while I was doing an intensive at Leach Pottery in St. Ives, England. I loved it so much that I plan to keep on making them and exploring the shapes and mark making. I just the whimsical yet classical feel to the shape and the way light moves across the surface throughout the day.
I use mine for dog treats so I can see it on my counter everyday. Nothing is too fancy for my pups.
